Custom ABS Square Eyeshadow Palette
A custom ABS square eyeshadow palette, moulded so the wells match the shade layout of the range. The palette is the packaging and the product at once: the wells have to hold the pans, and the case has to close so the shades travel without cracking.

What this one is
Moulded ABS eyeshadow palette
The case is moulded in ABS, which gives a rigid body that holds its shape and takes a hinge and a clasp without the surrounding plastic distorting. Because it is moulded to order, the well layout follows the shade range rather than fitting a standard grid — the number of wells, their shape and their arrangement are set from the palette design. The lid can be plain, printed or given a mirror, and the case closes so the pans travel without cracking. Well layout, case size and finish are specified to your brief.
- Moulded to your layout — Well count and shape follow the shade range, not a standard grid.
- ABS body — Rigid enough to take a hinge and clasp without distorting.
- Travel-safe closure — Pans do not crack in transit.
- Lid finish to spec — Plain, printed or with a mirror fitted.
Where it gets used
Who orders moulded palettes
Cosmetics brands commission them as both packaging and product container. Private-label manufacturers use them across several of their own lines. Gift and subscription box companies use them for seasonal shade sets. The moulded well layout is the reason for a custom palette rather than a stock case.
What we can change for you
Specified before the tooling is cut
This item is not picked off a shelf. Every part of it is specified before it is made, and these are the parts buyers change most often on a cosmetic packaging programme. Send whatever you have — a drawing, a photo of a sample you like, or a rough sketch — and we quote against it.
- Format — Square compact with a mirror lid, a clear-lid variant, or a multi-well palette for powder, blush and shade ranges.
- Material — Injection ABS for the body — matte, glossy or metallised; PMMA for clear lids; PP where a living-hinge palette is wanted.
- Interior — Empty pan cup for pressed powder, a sifter with mesh screen for loose powder, or an empty multi-well tray you fill in-house.
- Mirror — Glass or acrylic mirror set into the lid — full-size or half — with a protective film applied after QC.
- Closure — Snap-fit clip, thumb-slide latch or a magnetic closure, tooled to open cleanly with one hand.
- Branding — Silk-screen or pad print on the lid, a debossed or enamelled logo plate, or a metallised nameplate.
- Packing — White box, OPP bag or a printed sleeve; units counted and film-wrapped per carton.
Anything not on this list is a question rather than a no. We work from your artwork or a rough sketch, and cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house — so a change costs you a conversation, not a new supplier.
How your order is made
Tooling, printing and binding on our own line
A compact is judged in the hand: the seam where the two halves meet, the sound of the clip, and whether the mirror sits flush. We cut the tooling around those three points and check first-off shots against the approved sample before the run.
- Tooling and dies — cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house, so a change to the shape is a conversation rather than a new supplier.
- Printing and finishing — offset and screen printing, foil stamping, blind debossing, spot UV and edge painting all run on site.
- In-line QC — checks at cutting, stitching and packing, not only at the end. You get the inspection photos before the cartons close.
- Export and documentation — cartons, pallets, labelling and shipping documents prepared to your forwarder specification. 94.8% of what we make is exported.

How to order
From spec to shipment in four steps
Most buyers have a sketch, a sample, or a brief. We turn it into a confirmed sample and then into a repeatable production run.
Product type, dimensions, quantity, logo, and deadline — even a photo is enough.
Unit price, tooling, sample cost, and lead time — usually within one working day.
We make a physical sample for your review before anything goes to bulk.
In-line QC, pre-shipment photos, then packed and shipped to your forwarder.

Working with us
Files, tooling and terms
The same terms apply to this item and to the rest of your order, so the budget and the schedule can be planned before anything is committed.
- Artwork — Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or CDR) are what embossing, foil and screen print need. A photo, a sketch or a physical sample is enough to start — we tell you before anything is charged if a file has to be rebuilt.
- Tooling — Charged only when the item needs a new mould, die or deboss plate. It is quoted separately and stated upfront — never added later.
- Samples — A stock sample is free (you cover the courier). A customised sample is chargeable and the cost is credited against the production order once it is confirmed.
- Payment — Invoiced in US dollars from our company account. Standard terms are T/T — 30% deposit, 70% before shipment — or an L/C at sight for container orders.
- Shipping — FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, CIF, and DDP to Europe and North America. DDP includes duties and final-mile delivery.
- Mixed containers — Several categories can ship in one container, which is how buyers keep the quantity per item down while still filling a shipment.
- Confidentiality — We sign an NDA before you send drawings.
- Documents — One inspection report and one set of documents cover the whole order, whatever the mix of items.
Buyer questions
Can the number of wells be specified?
Yes. Well count, shape and arrangement are set from your palette design.
Is a mirror available?
Yes. A mirror can be fitted into the lid.
What moulding cost applies?
A mould is required for a custom well layout. It is quoted separately and stated upfront.
Can we order the compacts empty and fill them ourselves?
Yes — most of these run empty. Tell us the filling method you use, because a pressed-pan cup, a sifter for loose powder and an empty multi-well tray are different interiors, and the interior is fixed at tooling.
What finishes can the ABS body take?
Matte and gloss spray, soft-touch, and metallised finishes that read as metal without the weight. The finish is applied to the moulded part, so it is quoted per colour rather than per order.
Can we get a sample before committing to tooling?
Yes. We can shot an existing tool in your colour first, and cut new tooling only once the specification — pan layout, mirror, closure — is signed off.
Will the mirror arrive protected?
Every unit ships with a removable protective film over the mirror, applied after QC, so it reaches your filling line scratch-free.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimums are set per item and depend on tooling, colour and printing. The figure above is the starting point; the exact minimum is confirmed with your quote.
