What this one is
Desk calendar with a branded base
The calendar stands on a printed base with the date leaves or a bound block above it. The base is the brand panel: it faces the reader all year, which is why desk calendars keep working as a promotional item long after the year they were printed for. Because the product is dated, production is scheduled to the year it covers — artwork is confirmed against a print date, not on an open lead time. Format, binding and base finish are specified to order.
- Printed base — The brand panel faces the reader for the whole year.
- Dated production — Scheduled against the year it covers, not an open lead time.
- Binding to spec — Leaves or a bound block, chosen to how the calendar is used.
- Format to order — Size, stand type and base finish specified.
Where it gets used
Who orders desk calendars
Companies use them as a new-year gift to clients and staff because the brand sits in view all year. Suppliers send them to trade customers. Banks, insurers and professional firms use them as the standard year-end item. The dated nature is what makes the production schedule the first thing to agree.
What we can change for you
Dated to your market, not to ours
This item is not picked off a shelf. Every part of it is specified before it is made, and these are the parts buyers change most often on a calendars & planners programme. Send whatever you have — a drawing, a photo of a sample you like, or a rough sketch — and we quote against it.
- Format — Desk tent, spiral wall, wire-o, easel back, wooden base or a magnetic planner.
- Base and stand — Wooden base, board easel, PP stand, or a punch and hanger for wall mounting.
- Pages — Monthly, weekly, daily or dated to your market’s calendar and language.
- Layout — Your layout, your holidays, your language, with brand space on every spread.
- Branding — Foil, screen print, printed base, engraved wood or a printed slipcase.
- Packing — Shrink wrap, poly bag, printed sleeve or carton only.
Anything not on this list is a question rather than a no. We work from your artwork or a rough sketch, and cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house — so a change costs you a conversation, not a new supplier.
How your order is made
Tooling, printing and binding on our own line
Dating and holidays are proofed per market before the run, because a calendar that is wrong for one region is unsellable rather than slightly off. Binding and stand assembly run on our own line.
- Tooling and dies — cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house, so a change to the shape is a conversation rather than a new supplier.
- Printing and finishing — offset and screen printing, foil stamping, blind debossing, spot UV and edge painting all run on site.
- In-line QC — checks at cutting, stitching and packing, not only at the end. You get the inspection photos before the cartons close.
- Export and documentation — cartons, pallets, labelling and shipping documents prepared to your forwarder specification. 94.8% of what we make is exported.

How to order
From spec to shipment in four steps
Most buyers have a sketch, a sample, or a brief. We turn it into a confirmed sample and then into a repeatable production run.
Product type, dimensions, quantity, logo, and deadline — even a photo is enough.
Unit price, tooling, sample cost, and lead time — usually within one working day.
We make a physical sample for your review before anything goes to bulk.
In-line QC, pre-shipment photos, then packed and shipped to your forwarder.

Working with us
Files, tooling and terms
The same terms apply to this item and to the rest of your order, so the budget and the schedule can be planned before anything is committed.
- Artwork — Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or CDR) are what embossing, foil and screen print need. A photo, a sketch or a physical sample is enough to start — we tell you before anything is charged if a file has to be rebuilt.
- Tooling — Charged only when the item needs a new mould, die or deboss plate. It is quoted separately and stated upfront — never added later.
- Samples — A stock sample is free (you cover the courier). A customised sample is chargeable and the cost is credited against the production order once it is confirmed.
- Payment — Invoiced in US dollars from our company account. Standard terms are T/T — 30% deposit, 70% before shipment — or an L/C at sight for container orders.
- Shipping — FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, CIF, and DDP to Europe and North America. DDP includes duties and final-mile delivery.
- Mixed containers — Several categories can ship in one container, which is how buyers keep the quantity per item down while still filling a shipment.
- Confidentiality — We sign an NDA before you send drawings.
- Documents — One inspection report and one set of documents cover the whole order, whatever the mix of items.
Buyer questions
When does artwork need to be confirmed?
Dated products are scheduled against the year they cover, so artwork is confirmed well before the print date. Tell us the target delivery and we work back from it.
Can the base be printed in full colour?
Yes. The base carries a full-colour printed panel.
What binding types are available?
Leaves and bound blocks are both produced. Tell us how the calendar is used and we recommend one.
Can the calendar be dated for a specific market and language?
Yes. Send the year, the public holidays and the language and we set the pages to it. We proof the whole year before the run rather than trusting the layout.
Is the wooden base available in different finishes?
Yes — natural, stained or printed, with engraving or a printed insert.
Can we order a planner that starts mid-year?
Yes. Academic and financial-year starts are routine; tell us the month the planner runs from and to.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimums are set per item and depend on binding, base and finishing. The figure above is the starting point; the exact minimum is confirmed with your quote.
When should we place a calendar order?
Calendars are seasonal and the line gets busy. We suggest starting the enquiry about 60 days before you need the goods in hand.
