Fabric & Textile Swatch Books
Fabric Colour Swatch Fan
A fabric colour swatch fan, with the samples mounted on a pivot so the whole range can be flicked through in the hand. The fan format is the specification: it presents a wide colour range in a small object that a buyer can hold and compare against a sample.
- Pivoted leaves
- Compare side by side
- Reference printed alongside

What this one is
Pivoted fabric swatch fan
Each leaf carries a fabric swatch with its reference printed alongside, and the leaves are pivoted at one end so a buyer can open the fan to any part of the range with one hand. That is the advantage over a bound book: two or three swatches can be held open together and compared directly, which is how a colour is actually chosen. Leaf count, swatch size and the pivot are specified to your range. The cover leaf takes a printed brand.
- Pivoted leaves — Any part of the range reached with one hand.
- Compare side by side — Two or three swatches held open together for direct comparison.
- Reference printed alongside — Each leaf carries its own sample and code.
- Leaf count to spec — Scale, fabric and pivot set to your range.
Where it gets used
Who uses swatch fans
Textile and furniture sales teams carry them because a fan fits in a pocket or a bag where a book does not. Interior designers use them to compare a fabric against a sample on site. Retail fabric counters use them at the point of sale. The fan format is chosen for portability and side-by-side comparison.
What we can change for you
Real fabric, printed data, replaceable pages
This item is not picked off a shelf. Every part of it is specified before it is made, and these are the parts buyers change most often on a fabric & textile swatch books programme. Send whatever you have — a drawing, a photo of a sample you like, or a rough sketch — and we quote against it.
- Slot count and layout — From a single watch to 20 slots, in a single layer, drawer stack or a lift-lid case.
- Pillow sizing — Pillow circumference set to your bracelet range — that is what stops a watch rattling or refusing to close.
- Lining — Velvet, suede, flocked fabric or PU, with anti-tarnish lining where silver is also stored.
- Closure and hardware — Cam lock, magnetic closure, glass lid, handle or a trolley base.
- Cover — PU leather, genuine leather, wood, acrylic or a glass window.
- Branding — Foil stamping, debossing, printed inner lid or an engraved plate.
Anything not on this list is a question rather than a no. We work from your artwork or a rough sketch, and cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house — so a change costs you a conversation, not a new supplier.
How your order is made
Tooling, printing and binding on our own line
Fabric is cut and attached by hand where the weave demands it, and every data page is proofed against your list. The swatch is the real material, not a print of it.
- Tooling and dies — cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house, so a change to the shape is a conversation rather than a new supplier.
- Printing and finishing — offset and screen printing, foil stamping, blind debossing, spot UV and edge painting all run on site.
- In-line QC — checks at cutting, stitching and packing, not only at the end. You get the inspection photos before the cartons close.
- Export and documentation — cartons, pallets, labelling and shipping documents prepared to your forwarder specification. 94.8% of what we make is exported.

How to order
From spec to shipment in four steps
Most buyers have a sketch, a sample, or a brief. We turn it into a confirmed sample and then into a repeatable production run.
Product type, dimensions, quantity, logo, and deadline — even a photo is enough.
Unit price, tooling, sample cost, and lead time — usually within one working day.
We make a physical sample for your review before anything goes to bulk.
In-line QC, pre-shipment photos, then packed and shipped to your forwarder.

Working with us
Files, tooling and terms
The same terms apply to this item and to the rest of your order, so the budget and the schedule can be planned before anything is committed.
- Artwork — Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or CDR) are what embossing, foil and screen print need. A photo, a sketch or a physical sample is enough to start — we tell you before anything is charged if a file has to be rebuilt.
- Tooling — Charged only when the item needs a new mould, die or deboss plate. It is quoted separately and stated upfront — never added later.
- Samples — A stock sample is free (you cover the courier). A customised sample is chargeable and the cost is credited against the production order once it is confirmed.
- Payment — Invoiced in US dollars from our company account. Standard terms are T/T — 30% deposit, 70% before shipment — or an L/C at sight for container orders.
- Shipping — FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, CIF, and DDP to Europe and North America. DDP includes duties and final-mile delivery.
- Mixed containers — Several categories can ship in one container, which is how buyers keep the quantity per item down while still filling a shipment.
- Confidentiality — We sign an NDA before you send drawings.
- Documents — One inspection report and one set of documents cover the whole order, whatever the mix of items.
Buyer questions
How many leaves can the fan have?
Leaf count is specified to your range. Tell us how many colours need to be shown.
Can the swatches be replaced?
Leaves can be produced as replacements so the fan is updated as a range changes.
Can the cover carry our branding?
Yes. The cover leaf is printed in full colour.
Are the swatches real fabric?
Yes — they are cut from the actual material and attached by hand. A printed representation will not survive a buyer handling it, and it cannot be matched against a production run.
Can we replace single fabric pages each season?
Yes. Ring, post and velcro formats let you swap pages rather than reprint the whole book, which is normally the cheaper way to run a seasonal range.
How do I pick the right pillow size?
Read enough watch box reviews and the same sentence appears from both ends — pillows too small so watches rattle, or too big so a bracelet will not close. Both are correct. Give us the bracelet circumference range and we size the pillow to it.
How do you handle wash-care and composition data?
Send the composition and care data per fabric and we print it to your layout, then proof the whole set before the run so no page is out of step with the swatch it carries.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimums are set per item, and a hand-attached book carries a higher minimum than a printed one. The exact figure is confirmed with your quote.
Can the book and the textile order ship together?
Yes. The swatch book is normally part of the same programme as the fabric and ships in the same shipment.
