PVC Inner Bags: A Complete Product Guide

· Finishing & packing · 2 min read

The inner bag is the last thing between the product and the carton. It is a small line on the quotation and, done badly, the first thing a buyer sees when the shipment is opened.

What the inner bag actually does

It keeps dust, moisture and fingerprints off the product, holds accessories together, and — when it carries a print — acts as the first piece of branded packaging a customer touches. A bag that only protects is a different specification from a bag that presents.

Thickness, sizing and closures

Thickness is quoted in millimeters, and it decides how the bag behaves: thin material wrinkles around the product, heavier material holds a shape and lets the bag stand. On a folded textile item the fold line is what splits a thin bag, so thickness follows the shape rather than the budget.

Sizing follows the packed product plus clearance. Too tight and the bag tears at the seal; too loose and the item moves inside the carton. The closure — a fold-over flap, a self-adhesive strip, a press-stud header — changes both the size and the assembly cost.

Printing on clear material

On clear PVC the print is read with the product behind it, so contrast is everything. A single dark color reads better than a fine multicolor design, and white has to be printed as an opaque layer rather than left as a gap. Fine type and small logos lose definition — scale the mark up and the bag will look sharper.

Ordering inner bags with the main product

The practical route is to specify the bag in the same enquiry as the product. Specify the bag in the same enquiry as the product, and ask for one specification and one inspection report across both — that is what keeps the bag that arrives the bag that was approved, rather than a substitute sourced at the last minute.

What to send us. The product, who uses it, what goes inside, how it is branded, the quantity you actually need, and the date it has to be in hand. Quotes usually go out within one to two working days, with the sampling date confirmed in the same reply.

Send it through the quote form — drawings, a sample photo or a link all work. We will sign an NDA before you share anything confidential.

AJMZAJMZOpen question

The inner bag is the last thing between the product and the carton, and it is usually specced last. What we have not seen is a real-world comparison of buying the bag with the product against sourcing it separately at the last minute — cost, lead time and how often the arriving bag is not the approved one. If you have run both routes, that is the useful data.
