An A5 fabric sample book in a PU leather cover, with printed textile specification lines against each swatch. The PU cover is specified where the book is shown to trade buyers rather than handed out, because it takes handling without the cover scuffing. Supplied under item code GT1984.

What this one is
PU-covered A5 swatch book, GT1984
The cover is PU leather over an A5 book block, so the book survives being carried to meetings and passed around a table. Inside, each page carries fabric swatches with the specification printed alongside — reference, composition and colour — so a buyer reads the detail in the same place as the sample rather than consulting a separate sheet. Pages are printed from your artwork, so the specification fields follow your own data. Swatch size, page count and cover colour are specified to order.
- PU leather cover — Survives being carried and passed around a table.
- Specification printed alongside — Reference, composition and colour against each swatch.
- Printed from your artwork — Specification fields follow your own data.
- Swatch and page count to spec — Sample size and page count set to your range.
Where it gets used
Who orders PU-covered swatch books
Textile and upholstery suppliers use them to present a fabric range to trade buyers. Furniture manufacturers use them in showrooms. Interior and contract design studios keep them as a reference library. The PU cover is chosen where the book is a durable working tool rather than a giveaway.
What we can change for you
Real fabric, printed data, replaceable pages
This item is not picked off a shelf. Every part of it is specified before it is made, and these are the parts buyers change most often on a fabric & textile swatch books programme. Send whatever you have — a drawing, a photo of a sample you like, or a rough sketch — and we quote against it.
- Format — Fan deck, ring binder, hanging book, carry-handle book or a boxed set.
- Cover — Bookcloth, PU, PVC or paperboard, with a foil or printed title.
- Swatch attachment — Real textile swatches stapled, glued, sewn or inserted into a die-cut window.
- Data pages — Fibre content, weight, width, wash care, colour code and order reference printed to your layout.
- Binding — Rivet, screw post, ring or velcro so single pages can be replaced.
- Packing — Boxed set, printed sleeve, shrink wrap or carton only.
Anything not on this list is a question rather than a no. We work from your artwork or a rough sketch, and cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house — so a change costs you a conversation, not a new supplier.
How your order is made
Tooling, printing and binding on our own line
Fabric is cut and attached by hand where the weave demands it, and every data page is proofed against your list. The swatch is the real material, not a print of it.
- Tooling and dies — cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house, so a change to the shape is a conversation rather than a new supplier.
- Printing and finishing — offset and screen printing, foil stamping, blind debossing, spot UV and edge painting all run on site.
- In-line QC — checks at cutting, stitching and packing, not only at the end. You get the inspection photos before the cartons close.
- Export and documentation — cartons, pallets, labelling and shipping documents prepared to your forwarder specification. 94.8% of what we make is exported.

How to order
From spec to shipment in four steps
Most buyers have a sketch, a sample, or a brief. We turn it into a confirmed sample and then into a repeatable production run.
Product type, dimensions, quantity, logo, and deadline — even a photo is enough.
Unit price, tooling, sample cost, and lead time — usually within one working day.
We make a physical sample for your review before anything goes to bulk.
In-line QC, pre-shipment photos, then packed and shipped to your forwarder.

Working with us
Files, tooling and terms
The same terms apply to this item and to the rest of your order, so the budget and the schedule can be planned before anything is committed.
- Artwork — Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or CDR) are what embossing, foil and screen print need. A photo, a sketch or a physical sample is enough to start — we tell you before anything is charged if a file has to be rebuilt.
- Tooling — Charged only when the item needs a new mould, die or deboss plate. It is quoted separately and stated upfront — never added later.
- Samples — A stock sample is free (you cover the courier). A customised sample is chargeable and the cost is credited against the production order once it is confirmed.
- Payment — Invoiced in US dollars from our company account. Standard terms are T/T — 30% deposit, 70% before shipment — or an L/C at sight for container orders.
- Shipping — FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, CIF, and DDP to Europe and North America. DDP includes duties and final-mile delivery.
- Mixed containers — Several categories can ship in one container, which is how buyers keep the quantity per item down while still filling a shipment.
- Confidentiality — We sign an NDA before you send drawings.
- Documents — One inspection report and one set of documents cover the whole order, whatever the mix of items.
Buyer questions
What is item code GT1984?
It is the code we quote for this A5 PU-covered fabric sample book. Confirm the specification on the quotation before ordering.
Do we supply the specification data?
Yes. The specification lines are printed from your artwork, so your own reference and composition data is used.
Can the swatch size be changed?
Yes. Swatch size and page count are specified to your range.
Are the swatches real fabric?
Yes — they are cut from the actual material and attached by hand. A printed representation will not survive a buyer handling it, and it cannot be matched against a production run.
Can we replace single fabric pages each season?
Yes. Ring, post and velcro formats let you swap pages rather than reprint the whole book, which is normally the cheaper way to run a seasonal range.
How do you handle wash-care and composition data?
Send the composition and care data per fabric and we print it to your layout, then proof the whole set before the run so no page is out of step with the swatch it carries.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimums are set per item, and a hand-attached book carries a higher minimum than a printed one. The exact figure is confirmed with your quote.
Can the book and the textile order ship together?
Yes. The swatch book is normally part of the same programme as the fabric and ships in the same shipment.
