Clear PVC Book Cover, Custom Size
A clear PVC book cover cut to a custom size, so a book, manual or catalogue can be protected without hiding the cover. The custom size is the specification: a cover cut to the wrong dimensions either wrinkles on the spine or leaves the edges exposed.

- Transparent film

What this one is
Custom-size clear book cover
The cover is cut and folded from clear PVC film to the dimensions of the book it protects, with a spine width matched to the page count. Because it is transparent, the printed cover underneath stays visible, which is what makes it usable on a published title rather than only on a plain document. The film resists handling and splashes, so it suits manuals and reference books that are used rather than shelved. Height, width, spine width and film thickness are specified to your book.
- Cut to your dimensions — Height, width and spine width matched to the book.
- Transparent film — The printed cover underneath stays visible.
- Handling protection — Resists handling wear and splashes on books in use.
- Film thickness to spec — Chosen against how hard the book is used.
Where it gets used
Who orders clear book covers
Publishers protect sample and review copies before sending them out. Schools and libraries use them on titles in heavy circulation. Manufacturers use them on equipment manuals and catalogues that stay on a workshop floor. The custom sizing is what makes the cover usable on a specific title.
What we can change for you
The cover is the wear part — specified for that
This item is not picked off a shelf. Every part of it is specified before it is made, and these are the parts buyers change most often on a book covers & sleeves programme. Send whatever you have — a drawing, a photo of a sample you like, or a rough sketch — and we quote against it.
- Format — Slip-on sleeve, jacket, zippered cover, wallet-style with a pocket, or a fixed board cover.
- Material — PVC, PP, coated paper, linen or fabric, in the gauge you specify.
- Fit — Cut to the exact book height and spine width, with the fold allowance matched to the board.
- Surface — Clear, frosted, printed, laminated, soft-touch or textured.
- Branding — Screen print, foil, debossing, printed spine or a bookplate on the inside face.
- Packing — Shrink wrap, poly bag, carton or pallet with your forwarder labelling.
Anything not on this list is a question rather than a no. We work from your artwork or a rough sketch, and cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house — so a change costs you a conversation, not a new supplier.
How your order is made
Tooling, printing and binding on our own line
On a book the cover is the wear part — it is handled, wiped, packed against other items and pushed in and out of a bag. So we specify the coating against that life rather than for the look in a photograph.
- Tooling and dies — cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house, so a change to the shape is a conversation rather than a new supplier.
- Printing and finishing — offset and screen printing, foil stamping, blind debossing, spot UV and edge painting all run on site.
- In-line QC — checks at cutting, stitching and packing, not only at the end. You get the inspection photos before the cartons close.
- Export and documentation — cartons, pallets, labelling and shipping documents prepared to your forwarder specification. 94.8% of what we make is exported.

How to order
From spec to shipment in four steps
Most buyers have a sketch, a sample, or a brief. We turn it into a confirmed sample and then into a repeatable production run.
Product type, dimensions, quantity, logo, and deadline — even a photo is enough.
Unit price, tooling, sample cost, and lead time — usually within one working day.
We make a physical sample for your review before anything goes to bulk.
In-line QC, pre-shipment photos, then packed and shipped to your forwarder.

Working with us
Files, tooling and terms
The same terms apply to this item and to the rest of your order, so the budget and the schedule can be planned before anything is committed.
- Artwork — Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or CDR) are what embossing, foil and screen print need. A photo, a sketch or a physical sample is enough to start — we tell you before anything is charged if a file has to be rebuilt.
- Tooling — Charged only when the item needs a new mould, die or deboss plate. It is quoted separately and stated upfront — never added later.
- Samples — A stock sample is free (you cover the courier). A customised sample is chargeable and the cost is credited against the production order once it is confirmed.
- Payment — Invoiced in US dollars from our company account. Standard terms are T/T — 30% deposit, 70% before shipment — or an L/C at sight for container orders.
- Shipping — FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, CIF, and DDP to Europe and North America. DDP includes duties and final-mile delivery.
- Mixed containers — Several categories can ship in one container, which is how buyers keep the quantity per item down while still filling a shipment.
- Confidentiality — We sign an NDA before you send drawings.
- Documents — One inspection report and one set of documents cover the whole order, whatever the mix of items.
Buyer questions
Do you need the exact book dimensions?
Yes, including the spine width. Send a book or the measured dimensions and we cut to them.
Will the cover hide the printed cover?
No. The film is transparent, so the printed cover stays visible.
Can it be supplied with a printed panel?
Yes. A printed area can be added to the cover if you want branding on it.
What does the cover coating actually survive?
On a book the cover is the wear part and it has a harder life than most product surfaces. Tell us what the book will be handled with — hand cream, cleaning wipes, a school bag — and we will select the coating for that rather than for the catalogue photo.
How do you get the fit right?
We cut to the book height and the spine width with the fold allowance matched to the board thickness. Send one copy of the book and the fit stops being a guess.
Will a PVC cover mark the book over time?
Some films react with inks and coatings. Tell us what is printed on the cover we are covering and we will select a film that will not migrate.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimums are set per item and depend on material, tooling and finishing. The figure above is the starting point; the exact minimum is confirmed with your quote.
Can covers be supplied in several sizes in one order?
Yes. Multiple trim sizes in one shipment are routine, and the quantity per size can be lower because they fill the same container.
