What this one is
A5 charging portfolio
The charging coil sits in the cover at phone size, with the electronics and battery held behind it so the portfolio still closes flat. Inside, an A5 notebook is held on the writing side with pockets for cards and a pen loop alongside. Because the format is A5, it travels where an A4 folio would be left on a desk — which is the reason this size is specified. Coil output, battery capacity and notebook layout are specified to order.
- Cover charging coil — Phone charges on the closed cover while the user works inside.
- A5 travel format — Carries in a bag where an A4 folio would stay on a desk.
- Notebook on the writing side — A5 pad held with a pen loop and card pockets.
- Battery to spec — Capacity and output quoted against the target phone set.
Where it gets used
Who carries an A5 charging portfolio
Field sales staff who work from a bag rather than a desk use the A5 format because it travels. Conference and exhibition staff use it where a phone has to stay charged on a stand. Consultants and auditors join calls from client premises. The A5 size and the charging function are the two reasons for the purchase.
What we can change for you
Every part of the book is yours to specify
This item is not picked off a shelf. Every part of it is specified before it is made, and these are the parts buyers change most often on a notebooks & journals programme. Send whatever you have — a drawing, a photo of a sample you like, or a rough sketch — and we quote against it.
- Outer size and orientation — A4, A5, Letter or Legal, portrait or landscape, or a size cut to your drawing.
- Cover material and caliper — PU leather, bonded leather or linen, with the board caliper you specify.
- Charging module — Wireless charging pad or an integrated power bank, with the output and connector you specify.
- Interior layout — Device pocket, cable channel, notepad, card slots and a pen loop arranged around the module.
- Branding — Foil stamping, blind debossing, screen print or an indicator window with your mark.
- Packing and compliance — Retail box with the battery documentation your market requires, plus the markings for shipping.
Anything not on this list is a question rather than a no. We work from your artwork or a rough sketch, and cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house — so a change costs you a conversation, not a new supplier.
How your order is made
Tooling, printing and binding on our own line
Cover board, endpapers and text block are specified together so the spine squares up after the first opening. Binding and foiling both run on our own line, which is what keeps a 5,000-piece run consistent.
- Tooling and dies — cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house, so a change to the shape is a conversation rather than a new supplier.
- Printing and finishing — offset and screen printing, foil stamping, blind debossing, spot UV and edge painting all run on site.
- In-line QC — checks at cutting, stitching and packing, not only at the end. You get the inspection photos before the cartons close.
- Export and documentation — cartons, pallets, labelling and shipping documents prepared to your forwarder specification. 94.8% of what we make is exported.

Factory audit report, material test reports and the pre-shipment inspection report are available on request — tell us which one your compliance team needs and we confirm it in writing.
How to order
From spec to shipment in four steps
Most buyers have a sketch, a sample, or a brief. We turn it into a confirmed sample and then into a repeatable production run.
Product type, dimensions, quantity, logo, and deadline — even a photo is enough.
Unit price, tooling, sample cost, and lead time — usually within one working day.
We make a physical sample for your review before anything goes to bulk.
In-line QC, pre-shipment photos, then packed and shipped to your forwarder.

Working with us
Files, tooling and terms
The same terms apply to this item and to the rest of your order, so the budget and the schedule can be planned before anything is committed.
- Artwork — Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or CDR) are what embossing, foil and screen print need. A photo, a sketch or a physical sample is enough to start — we tell you before anything is charged if a file has to be rebuilt.
- Tooling — Charged only when the item needs a new mould, die or deboss plate. It is quoted separately and stated upfront — never added later.
- Samples — A stock sample is free (you cover the courier). A customised sample is chargeable and the cost is credited against the production order once it is confirmed.
- Payment — Invoiced in US dollars from our company account. Standard terms are T/T — 30% deposit, 70% before shipment — or an L/C at sight for container orders.
- Shipping — FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, CIF, and DDP to Europe and North America. DDP includes duties and final-mile delivery.
- Mixed containers — Several categories can ship in one container, which is how buyers keep the quantity per item down while still filling a shipment.
- Confidentiality — We sign an NDA before you send drawings.
- Documents — One inspection report and one set of documents cover the whole order, whatever the mix of items.
Buyer questions
Which phones charge on the cover?
Compatible phones with wireless charging. Tell us the target models and we confirm the coil specification.
Does the portfolio close with a phone on it?
It closes with the cover over the coil; a phone is placed on the cover while charging.
Can the battery capacity be specified?
Yes. Tell us how many charges are needed and we size the battery.
Does the book lie flat when it is open?
That is decided by the binding, not by the paper. Tell us where it will be used — a kitchen counter, a meeting table, a warehouse — and we specify a binding that lies flat for that use.
Can the inner pages be printed to our layout?
Yes. Send the layout as a PDF with the trim size and bleed marked, and we will return a proof before the run.
Can we test the charging module before the full run?
Yes. The sample is made with the production module, not a placeholder, so the fit and the output are both verified before tooling is committed.
How is the power module handled for shipping?
A portfolio with a battery is not the same shipment as a portfolio without one. Tell us the destination market and we will confirm the documentation and the markings the battery needs before we quote.
What logo methods suit a linen or board cover?
Foil stamping and blind debossing are the sharpest, and both work on linen and on board. Screen print suits larger solid areas; on textured covers we test the impression before the run.
How is the price built up?
Page count, paper weight, cover material, binding, finishing and packing all move the price. That is why we quote per order rather than publishing a list price — send the specification and you get unit cost and lead time back.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Notebooks start from 500 pieces per design and colour. The exact minimum for this item is confirmed with your quote.
