Portfolios & Document Cases
Business Portfolio Folder Kit
A portfolio folder supplied as a kit: the folio itself, a ruled pad, a matching pen and card storage in one boxed set. It is built as a single purchase for onboarding, client gifting or event handouts, where sending the pieces separately would cost more in handling than it saves.
- Folio to your specification
- Matched accessories
- Consistent finish
- Item-by-item quoting

What this one is
What the kit contains
A kit is the same folio built to your specification, packed with the accessories a user actually needs: a pad that fits the clip, a pen that fits the loop and a card holder or slot insert. Because the pieces are made together, the material, colour and logo treatment stay consistent across all of them, which is the reason buyers choose a kit over assembling parts from different suppliers. Contents are quoted item by item, so pieces can be added or dropped without renegotiating the whole set.
- Folio to your specification — Standard A4 folio interior — document pocket, pad on clip, card slots.
- Matched accessories — Pad, pen and card storage sized to the folio rather than bought in separately.
- Consistent finish — One material, colour and logo treatment across every piece in the kit.
- Item-by-item quoting — Contents adjusted without renegotiating the whole set.
Where it gets used
When to buy a kit rather than parts
Onboarding kits are the most common case: a new hire receives everything at once and nothing is missing. Client gifting programmes use kits so the package looks deliberate rather than assembled. Event organisers use them for speaker and VIP gifts. The kit route saves the buyer the handling cost of receiving three deliveries and matching the colours themselves.
What we can change for you
Made to your drawing, not to our catalogue
This item is not picked off a shelf. Every part of it is specified before it is made, and these are the parts buyers change most often on a portfolios & document cases programme. Send whatever you have — a drawing, a photo of a sample you like, or a rough sketch — and we quote against it.
- Outer size and orientation — A4, A5, Letter or Legal, portrait or landscape, or a size we cut to your drawing.
- Cover material and caliper — PU leather, bonded leather, linen or coated paper board — padded, semi-rigid or rigid, with the board thickness you specify.
- Closure — Zipper, magnetic flap, buckle, elastic strap or press stud. Zips can be nylon or metal, with a custom puller.
- Interior layout — Pockets, card slots, pen loop, A5 or A4 notepad, ring mechanism, document dividers, tablet sleeve, or a power-bank / wireless-charging module.
- Branding — Foil stamping, blind debossing, screen print, spot UV, edge painting or a metal badge.
- Hardware and trim — Metal corners, rivets, carry handle, contrast stitching, lining colour and edge-paint colour.
- Retail packing — Printed belly band, rigid gift box, PVC inner bag, hang tag — or carton only for bulk programmes.
Anything not on this list is a question rather than a no. We work from your artwork or a rough sketch, and cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house — so a change costs you a conversation, not a new supplier.
How your order is made
Tooling, printing and binding on our own line
Covers are cut and wrapped in our own workshop, and the zips, magnets or ring mechanisms are fitted on the same line. That is why the sampling date we give you is one we can hold.
- Tooling and dies — cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house, so a change to the shape is a conversation rather than a new supplier.
- Printing and finishing — offset and screen printing, foil stamping, blind debossing, spot UV and edge painting all run on site.
- In-line QC — checks at cutting, stitching and packing, not only at the end. You get the inspection photos before the cartons close.
- Export and documentation — cartons, pallets, labelling and shipping documents prepared to your forwarder specification. 94.8% of what we make is exported.

How to order
From spec to shipment in four steps
Most buyers have a sketch, a sample, or a brief. We turn it into a confirmed sample and then into a repeatable production run.
Product type, dimensions, quantity, logo, and deadline — even a photo is enough.
Unit price, tooling, sample cost, and lead time — usually within one working day.
We make a physical sample for your review before anything goes to bulk.
In-line QC, pre-shipment photos, then packed and shipped to your forwarder.

Working with us
Files, tooling and terms
The same terms apply to this item and to the rest of your order, so the budget and the schedule can be planned before anything is committed.
- Artwork — Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or CDR) are what embossing, foil and screen print need. A photo, a sketch or a physical sample is enough to start — we tell you before anything is charged if a file has to be rebuilt.
- Tooling — Charged only when the item needs a new mould, die or deboss plate. It is quoted separately and stated upfront — never added later.
- Samples — A stock sample is free (you cover the courier). A customised sample is chargeable and the cost is credited against the production order once it is confirmed.
- Payment — Invoiced in US dollars from our company account. Standard terms are T/T — 30% deposit, 70% before shipment — or an L/C at sight for container orders.
- Shipping — FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, CIF, and DDP to Europe and North America. DDP includes duties and final-mile delivery.
- Mixed containers — Several categories can ship in one container, which is how buyers keep the quantity per item down while still filling a shipment.
- Confidentiality — We sign an NDA before you send drawings.
- Documents — One inspection report and one set of documents cover the whole order, whatever the mix of items.
Buyer questions
Can we choose what goes in the kit?
Yes. Contents are quoted item by item, so pieces can be added or removed.
Is the packaging branded?
Yes. The box or sleeve can be printed with your artwork alongside the items.
Do all pieces have to share one colour?
They can share one colour or be deliberately contrasted. Both are produced.
Can you work from a sample or a photo instead of a drawing?
Yes. A photo of a competitor’s sample, a physical sample or a rough sketch is enough to start. We return a written specification for approval before any tooling is cut.
Which logo methods can be used on the cover?
Foil stamping, blind debossing, screen print, spot UV or a metal badge. On PU we adjust the debossing depth to the sheet thickness so the impression stays sharp and does not crack along the fold.
Will a reorder match the first run?
We hold the approved specification on file — material, caliper, lining, foil colour, stitch and packing — and manufacture repeat orders against it instead of starting over.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimums are set per item and depend on material, tooling and finish. This item starts from 300 pcs; the exact minimum is confirmed with your quote.
How do you stop the cover from cracking at the spine?
Board caliper and hinge allowance are specified together, not separately. On padded covers we add a hinge allowance at the fold, which is where most portfolios fail first.
