Charging portfolio with handle
The charging coil is set into the cover and the handle is fixed to the reinforced spine, so the two additions do not interfere: the coil sits flat under the closed cover and the handle takes the load away from it. A phone placed on the cover charges while the user works from the documents inside. The interior carries the standard folio layout with a pad on a clip and a document pocket. Battery capacity and coil output are specified against the phone set the user population actually carries.

Field service engineers spend the day moving between sites and charging opportunistically. Insurance and property assessors work from a folder on a client's table. Area managers covering several locations use the handle over a long day. The combination is chosen where the user is mobile often enough that a flat folio becomes tiring to carry.

Anything not on this list is a question rather than a no. We work from your artwork or a rough sketch, and cutting dies and covers are engineered in-house — so a change costs you a conversation, not a new supplier.

Covers are cut and wrapped in our own workshop, and the zips, magnets or ring mechanisms are fitted on the same line. That is why the sampling date we give you is one we can hold.

From spec to shipment in four steps
Most buyers have a sketch, a sample, or a brief. We turn it into a confirmed sample and then into a repeatable production run.

Files, tooling and terms
The same terms apply to this item and to the rest of your order, so the budget and the schedule can be planned before anything is committed.
- Artwork — Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or CDR) are what embossing, foil and screen print need. A photo, a sketch or a physical sample is enough to start — we tell you before anything is charged if a file has to be rebuilt.
- Tooling — Charged only when the item needs a new mould, die or deboss plate. It is quoted separately and stated upfront — never added later.
- Samples — A stock sample is free (you cover the courier). A customised sample is chargeable and the cost is credited against the production order once it is confirmed.
- Payment — Invoiced in US dollars from our company account. Standard terms are T/T — 30% deposit, 70% before shipment — or an L/C at sight for container orders.
- Shipping — FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, CIF, and DDP to Europe and North America. DDP includes duties and final-mile delivery.
- Mixed containers — Several categories can ship in one container, which is how buyers keep the quantity per item down while still filling a shipment.
- Confidentiality — We sign an NDA before you send drawings.
- Documents — One inspection report and one set of documents cover the whole order, whatever the mix of items.
Buyer questions
Does the handle interfere with charging?
No. The handle is fixed to the reinforced spine, away from the coil area on the cover.
What battery capacity is fitted?
Capacity is quoted against the number of charges required. Tell us the target phone set and we size it.
Can the coil position be changed?
Yes. Coil position is set at design stage against the phone models in use.
Can you work from a sample or a photo instead of a drawing?
Yes. A photo of a competitor’s sample, a physical sample or a rough sketch is enough to start. We return a written specification for approval before any tooling is cut.
Which logo methods can be used on the cover?
Foil stamping, blind debossing, screen print, spot UV or a metal badge. On PU we adjust the debossing depth to the sheet thickness so the impression stays sharp and does not crack along the fold.
Can we test the charging module before the full run?
Yes. The sample is made with the production module, not a placeholder, so the fit and the output are both verified before tooling is committed.
How is the power module handled for shipping?
A portfolio with a battery is not the same shipment as a portfolio without one. Tell us the destination market and we will confirm the documentation and the markings the battery needs before we quote.
Will a reorder match the first run?
We hold the approved specification on file — material, caliper, lining, foil colour, stitch and packing — and manufacture repeat orders against it instead of starting over.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimums are set per item and depend on material, tooling and finish. This item starts from 300 pcs; the exact minimum is confirmed with your quote.
How do you stop the cover from cracking at the spine?
Board caliper and hinge allowance are specified together, not separately. On padded covers we add a hinge allowance at the fold, which is where most portfolios fail first.
